Hackett’s Group is a family run business that started in Witney and has now expanded to include Carterton & Stow-on-the-Wold. Each branch has its own character and style, from the atmospheric Witney Hackett’s, with its balcony and sofas, its magnificent vaulted ceiling, cozy Stow-on-the-Wold Hackett’s, in its original Cotswold stone cottage, with a menu covering all day breakfast to homemade scones.
Carterton Hackett’s, providing the residents of this busy town with everything from a hearty breakfast to tempting cakes.
We pride ourselves on excellent service, friendly and professional staff, and the ability to continually evolve to reflect what you, our customer, tells us you want.
You asked us for more tribute nights at Witney, so we have arranged a fabulous programme of wonderful acts to draw you out of your armchair on the 1st Friday of every month.
We have made reserving a table more flexible with booking options, so you can now book your table at Witney Hackett’s on this website, just click here.

We are not a faceless giant; Dave Hackett will meet and greet you when you come into Witney for your Saturday steak, and Helen Hackett can often be seen serving in any one of the Hackett’s.

So whether its coffee and cake, a glass of wine or cocktail to a three-course meal, Hackett’s has a venue to satisfy your needs!

Hacketts can hack it for you

“Wheelchair accessible”

“An oasis in the hurly-burly of shopping. Situated in an award winning FREE car park! Wheelchair accessible, and al fresco facilities, when clement. Staff friendly and helpful. A good range of food and drinks on offer. Very popular, choose your times carefully. Highly recommended for a break from shopping, or dining out, or book a function.”

“Lovely for lunch :)”

"Hacketts is a great little place to catch up with friends for lunch. Lots of space, if you have little ones too. The food is great, plenty of variety. Lots of drinks to choose from too - they have fresh smoothies too...

“Best cafe in town”

"We always go to hacketts for breakfast (not everyday of course!). On some sundays they have live jazz or a sax player, and the venue is niche. We always sit upstairs to have a bit of privacy and enjoy soaking up the hustle and bustle below...

“Perfect little coffee stop”

“Stopped here for coffee and cake on a beautiful September morning. Lovely friendly member of staff chatted about the weather etc while we waited for our coffee which we took outside. She then came out to check everything was ok. Highly recommended.”

“A much needed late lunch”

“I had been invited to join two of my friends on an overnight trip to Burford, by the time I’d battled with a failing hot water system and my friends had fought our way through the dreadful Friday afternoon traffic. We were more than ready for a light bite. I opted for one of my View Full →
